Rate increase looming for the CT Home Energy Solutions program.
As a result of the tremendous success of CT’s Home Energy Solutions program, matching Federal ARRA
Stimulus funding is nearing depletion.
This means the HES co-pay for oil and propane heated homes will increase from $75 to $300.
The copay for natural gas and electrically heated homes remains $75 at this time.
Green Star encourages homeowners who heat with oil or propane to book appointments now to avoid
the $225 co-pay increase.

Note the program now includes subsidized financing to make home energy improvements,
the rate is 2.99% for $2,500-$6,999; 0% for $7,000 to $20,000. A credit score of 640 required.
This is a great opportunity to get a more energy efficient AC condenser or heat pump
(up to a $1000 rebate each) and upgrade attic insulation (up to a $1/sft rebate) to
be more green and comfortable while saving on energy every month.STATE
