Rate increase looming for the CT Home Energy Solutions program. Stimulus funding is nearing depletion, meaning the HES co-pay for owners of oil and propane heated homes will increase from $75 to $300. Green Star encourages homeowners who heat with oil or propane to book appointments now to avoid the $225 co-pay increase. Insulation upgrade rebates are also expected to be eliminated. Note there are no HES income restrictions, so book your appointment today!

Do you ever wonder how much energy you lose through leaky doors, windows and ductwork? Do you suspect that your insulation isn’t making the grade? What about your major appliances? Wouldn’t it be great if you could have an expert give your home an energy analysis? You can. With support from the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, you can receive these valuable energy efficiency services.

-
Provide and install hot water-saving devices including low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators.
-
Rebates up to $500 for qualifying central air conditioning systems and up to $300 for replacement of certain inefficient appliances with qualifying energy-efficient models.
-
Provide and install up to 14 energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs. (4 standard and 10 specialty types)
-
A check of your insulation and rebates for upgrades if needed (gas and electric homes only).
-
Customers may be eligible for Double Rebate incentives for this program.
-
